Town of Jackson, Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Here's an adventure you've probably never embarked on before. Take the family on a horse drawn carriage through the Elk Refuge. Let your guide tell you their story as you get paraded through this beautiful, protected landscape. Wave to the thousands of Elk that winter here and get family photographs like never before.
Upon entering the Jackson Hole Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center, your kids will scamper with glee towards the lifelike animals stationed throughout the quaint two story building. Follow the trail of photographs, murals, and educational tools up to the second floor and walk the raised boardwalk all the way to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the refuge itself.
The sleigh rides depart every 20-30 minutes and an announcement will be made so everyone knows to head down to their bus. Reservations are not required but are recommended during the peak season. Be sure to wear warm clothes and bring a camera. They do offer blankets just in case.
