Town of Jackson, Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Out of all of the Jackson parks, Mike Yokel is my personal favorite. Maybe i’m biased because it’s so close to my East Jackson home, but I stand by my opinion. During the summer time, its large grassy field and scattered trees offer plenty of room for privacy, shade, and sunshine for everyone. Its quiet, fenced in, and secluded east Jackson location makes it feel tucked away while still easily accessible. The well maintained sand volleyball court is frequented on sunny summer days and there is almost always a slackline set up and a bocce or spikeball game being played on the horizon. The playground is beautiful and extensive and the covered picnic shelter is often the venue of gatherings and childrens birthday parties. Well maintained bathroom facilities and water fountains are available as well. You can park in the Mike Yokel Parking lot on East Kelly or in the cul de sac at the end of East Hansen.

During the winter season, the playground is the only available feature of the park. Sometimes during heavy snowfall, the plows use the Hansen cul de sac that leads into the park as a snow removal site and i’ve seen small children practice skiing or sledding down the mini knolls. Dogs are not allowed.
