Eastern Shore Maryland, Salisbury, MD
Featuring animals native to North, South, and Central America, the Salisbury Zoological Society is a free family-friendly experience with a "mom-and-pop" feel to it. Our favorite animals included the bears, a variety of birds/ducks that kids can get up-close to, and the tamarins. There are walking paths to explore and you may try a game of "I Spy" or pose in front of all of the animal sculptures you see to add some more fun to your visit. We recommend bringing your own lunch/snack and leaving enough time to play at the adjoining playground. There are free restrooms on-site with changing tables but they could have used some extra love/attention the day we visited.
